I am a huge fan of the explain Desperate Housewives and I watch it regularly. And if I miss a episode I go online on www.abc.com to watch it later! The last episode of Desperate Housewives of season 5 was obvious a cliff hanger and kept me at the edge of my seat.
Desperate Housewives series is a primetime television series of the channel abc. It follows the lives of four housewives Bree, Lynnette, Susan, Gaby who live on the fictional street on Wisteria lane in the fictional town Fairview in Eagle state. Each episode is narrated by a dead housewife Mary Alice Young, who keeps an ‘eye’ on the lives of the other housewives who were also her dear friends. The series follows the ups and downs of each housewife going through struggles both in their domestic lives and their careers.
Each of the housewives is different from other and has their own sage line in each episode. Susan is an erratic housewife who is a teacher’s assistant at her young son’s school and is a former children’s book illustrator. She is currently single though she has feelings for her ex Mike Delfino. Lynnette is the career mom who manages 4 kids and a jobless husband. Bree is a cookbook writer who shot to fame with her unpleasant and authentic recipes. Gaby is the glamorous wife who was a former model but now is a mother of two rather large girls.
When season 5 ended, Lynnette discovered she was pregnant…again. She is confused as her jobless husband was planning to return to college and she cannot afford to pause her job. Also Lynnette was a cancer surviving and from the last episode of season 5, it looks like Lynnette is planning to keep the baby. It would be tantalizing to ogle how she is going to be managing her pregnancy, husband and her job.
Bree’s marriage with the compulsive stealer Orsen has been on rocks during the last few episodes of season 5. She hires Karl, Susan’s first ex as her lawyer. When the last episode ended, Bree and Karl started to develop a intense secret relationship while Bree still stays with Orsen as husband and wife. This is highly not like Bree who has been always portrayed as an orthodox conservative housewife. We can witness how Bree is going to handle an extramarital affair and that too with Susan’s ex Karl. I hope she doesn’t take it forward and ruin her friendship with Susan!
The last time we saw Gaby was when she and her husband Carlos invited Carlos’s nephew Ana to stay over with them. Ana turns out to be a scheming young girl who promises to seduce young men in exchange for designer clothes and other favors. The next season is bound to contain a showdown between Gaby and Ana as Gaby tries to control Ana from seducing men.
And finally Susan. Susan and Mike had ended up sharing a passionate kiss in the last episode of season 5, right after the accident with Dave. Mike and Katherine had been making plans of getting married. In the very last scene of season 5, it is shown that Mike marries somebody and it doesn’t offer any hint as to if it is Susan or Katherine. It would be interesting to see who marries Mike. The producers have gone to great lengths to keep that a secret during the filming of season 6 that it is reported that they shot scenes with both Katherine and Susan as brides to keep people guessing! A major disappointment for fans of Edie is that she is killed off in a car accident and would no longer be part of the series Desperate Housewives. Every season, the series introduces one main guest character and play the entire season and builds up the finale around that character. This series has been one of the successfully running series and has been running for five seasons till now.
